IIRC it was a week-long event. During the first few days, activities were held in different municipal and city chapters. Then, on the last day, everyone gathered at Luneta for the Final Mass. Luneta for the Final Mass. Walang smartphone, wala pa din pagers. Puro verbal agreement lang, pero in the end nagkita-kita pa din kami kahit madaming tao. Ang final estimate ay 5 million ang umattend dun sa Final Mass. Nung pumunta ako sa Luneta, suot ko yung t-shirt na may printed face ni Pope John Paul II, tucked-in sa Giordano jeans (na uso na ulit ngayon ang fit), paired with blue Giordano canvas sneakers at Benetton belt bag. (May pictures ako, pero di ko na ini-upload, nakakatawa kasi ang pormahan.) Pero masaklap, naiputan ako ng kalapati. Buti na lang World Youth Day yun, kaya pinatawad ko na lang yung kalapati.
