THE Philippine National Police-Drug Enforcement Group and Special Operation Unit (PNP-DEG) on Sunday reported the arrest of two high-value targets who yielded an estimated P700 million worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation inside a subdivision on Saturday night in Barangay Bulihan in Plaridel, Bulacan.
Based on initial report received by acting PNP provincial director Col. Angel Garcillano, the arrested suspects were identified as Chen Liang Teng, 55, a resident of the said barangay, and an alias Ryan, 40, of Pasig City.
Based on the investigation, approximately 100 kilograms of shabu worth P700 million were confiscated from the suspects, in addition to an undetermined amount of suspected cocaine.
At around 7:30 p.m. on June 28, the two were collared inside their house after one of the PNP-DEG personnel pretended to be a poseur buyer.
According to the police, it is possible that the confiscated illegal drugs are connected to the shabu that floated in the waters covered by Zambales and Ilocos Region.

The PNP operatives confiscated from the two Chinese approximately 103 kilograms of shabu with an estimated drug price of P700.4 million and other non-drug evidence.
The suspects were brought to the PNP-DEG National Capital Region office for documentation and proper disposition.
The confiscated drug evidence will be turned over to the forensic group for laboratory examination.
PNP-DEG director BGen. Edwin Quilates advised anti-drug operatives to continue to uphold the highest standards of service, integrity and excellence.
P20.4-M shabu seized from habal-habal driver
In Zamboanga City, PNP-DEG lawmen arrested a high-value individual and seized three kilograms of shabu worth P20.4 million early Sunday, June 29.
The suspect, identified as Nelson Lamon y Hibbul, 41, a habal-habal driver, who allegedly sold three kilos of shabu to undercover agents in Barangay Zone 4 at around 12:15 a.m.
The arrested suspect was brought to Zamboanga City Police Office, Police Station 11 along with the confiscated illegal drugs.
