The parents of a four-year-old boy with a large lump on the back of his head is seeking help through GMA Kapuso Foundation so their son can undergo surgery.
According to "24 Oras" Monday, Pryan Manongsong and Judy Ann Arguiñoso were not able to have their own child, but they took in Prince, a nephew, and treated him as if he was their own.
"Nabigla ako na may bukol siya pero tinanggap ko na rin po," said Pryan.
"Nakakatakot pong hawakan ['yung bukol] kasi kung mapapansin niyo po, 'yung pinakagitna ng bukol niya parang manipis na manipis siya," Judy Ann also shared.
Aside from the lump on his head, Prince is also diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder.
On April 2 on World Autism Awareness Day, the GMA Kapuso Foundation brought Prince to a medical specialist to have his lump examined.
"It's developmental nung baby pa siya, in-born 'yan talaga," said Dr. Hector Santos, a plastic surgeon.
"'Pag nag-fail mag-fuse 'yung pinakabuto, known as occipital meningocele, nagkaroon siya ng protrusion ng brain tissue through a defect dun sa occipital bone sa likod. Ang kailangan talaga is undergo an operation, at least to take out that excess tissue coming from the brain."
Prince's parents are asking for assistance for his surgery, as Pryan's meager earnings of P500 a day as a delivery driver are not enough to cover the operation.
"Kumakatok po kami sa inyong puso, sa lahat ng may mabuting puso at may kakayanan na tumulong para po ma-operahan 'yung anak namin," said Judy Ann.
For those who wish to help Prince, donations may be made via Metrobank, Land Bank, BDO, Bank of Commerce, UnionBank, PNB, Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Lazada, and Shopee. Visit the GMA Kapuso Foundation website for more information.
