Kean Cipriano is mourning the death of his mom Chona.
On Instagram, the OPM singer shared a carousel of photos of him with his mom alongside a lengthy and heartfelt tribute letter for her.
"Napakasakit na makita kang nahihirapan. Hindi mo deserve 'yon. I'm so sorry you had to go through that pain," he said. "Sobra akong nalulungkot dahil deserve mo pang mas makilala ang sarili mo at ma-experience pa ang beauty ng buhay kasama ng mga taong mahal mo."
"Pero payapa ako na tapos na ang paghihirap. Alam kong nagpaparamdam ka sa mga kanta. Nararamdaman kita sa hangin," the singer added.
Kean said they poured all the love his mom had given to everyone who became a part of her life to remembering her the past few days.
"Ang daming nagmamahal sayo, Mommy. Pare-pareho sila ng sinasabi: 'napakabait ng Mommy n'yo. Napakabuti ng puso. Walang masamang tinapay,'" he added.
Professing his love to his mom, Kean said he is grateful to have her in his life and thanked her for showering him with so much love.
"Sobrang mamimiss kita. Sobra. 'Yung ngiti mo. 'Yung boses at tawa mo, 'yung mga yakap at halik. Mami-miss ko 'yung palagi mong sinasabi sa 'kin na, 'Kean, 'wag ka masyado magpa-stress sa work ha. Relax ka lang,'" he said.
Ending his post, Kean said his heart is shattered and still cannot accept the fact that his mom is now gone. Despite this, he vows to move forward while carrying her love with him.
"Sobrang wasak puso ko ngayon, Mommy. Hindi ko pa rin matanggap. Magsisimula ako na mabuhay ng wala ka. Ang bigat. Ang lungkot. Pero 'yung pagmamahal mo ang dadalhin ko para umusad. Rest in peace, Mommy. Mahal na mahal kita," he said.
As seen in Kean's previous post in Threads, his mom died on April 1. She was 60.
No cause of death has been revealed.
Kean is married to actress Chynna Ortaleza. They have two children together: Stellar, who was born in 2016, and Salem, who was born in 2019.
