Filipino beauty continues to shine on the global stage!

Homegrown clean beauty brand Pure Culture has earned the Editor’s Choice Award at the prestigious Organic Beauty Awards 2025 for its cult-favorite Bulgarian Rose Sublime Serum. This recognition marks a remarkable three-year streak for Pure Culture as the only Philippine brand honored among 25 global clean beauty winners.

The Organic Beauty Awards are curated by Amina Kitching, founder of Loael.org and editor of Clean Beauty Magazine, and celebrate products that deliver exceptional results while upholding the highest standards in sustainability, ingredient safety, and ethical sourcing. This win cements Pure Culture’s place among the world’s top clean beauty brands.

The Bulgarian Rose Sublime Serum wowed judges with its visible skin-enhancing benefits and luxurious sensorial experience. It blends ethically sourced Rosa Damascena Oil, quince extract, hyaluronic acid, Philippine sea grapes, and 24k gold flecks to lift, hydrate, and restore radiance. With its soothing aroma and rich texture, it’s not only effective but also indulgent.

“The aroma of this serum is heavenly,” shares Kitching in her review. “It firms my skin, hydrating it to perfection every time with a 24k gold glow.”

Specially formulated for tropical and humid climates, the serum is microbiome-friendly, dermatologist-recommended, and safe for sensitive skin. Sustainability is at its core — certified by Safe Cosmetics Australia as Made Safe, Toxic-Free, Allergy-Certified, Vegan, and Cruelty-Free. It also comes in a recyclable glass bottle with a reusable pump, supporting both CleanHub and one percent for the Planet initiatives.

In an interview with Manila Bulletin Lifestyle, Stephanie Oller, CEO of Pure Culture, expressed gratitude and pride in the brand’s global recognition.

“This award is an incredible milestone for Pure Culture and Filipino beauty innovation,” Stephanie said. “We feel immense pride and gratitude at the same time, winning the Organic Beauty Awards for three consecutive years places the Philippines in the map of skincare. And we are deeply honored to represent the Philippines on the global clean beauty stage. We remain committed to formulating skincare that delivers results with purpose and integrity.”

When asked what’s next, Stephanie revealed the launch of a new feminine wash and plans to grow their body care line.

“As our mission is to make high performance clean skincare accessible, we are working on national availability beyond eCommerce. Raw materials are not easy to find, biodegradable packaging is very difficult to put together, and the product quality test takes a while. As much as we want to produce new products more frequently, RnD takes longer than expected,” she shared. “We just launched an intimate wash with pH 4.5— the only biocompatible feminine wash in the country. What we don’t know is that ladies within the reproductive age must not be using fem wash beyond pH 4.5 — it is drying and causes imbalance in the intimate area.”

The Editor’s Choice Award is a new category introduced this year to spotlight clean beauty brands that have consistently demonstrated excellence in both performance and sustainability over a span of three years.

The award-winning Bulgarian Rose Sublime Serum retails for ₱1,380 (30ml) and is available at purecultureph.com and select retailers nationwide.
