Kylie Padilla got real about single motherhood in her new poem.

In a Instagram post, the Kapuso actress says it is the "hardest," as she has to be both mom and dad, "both nurturer and disciplinarian, but above all the protector even against your worst kind of self.”

Being a single mom means always being available for her kids even when she is "absolutely exhausted," Kylie added, and that she must help her sons regulate their emotions even when she can’t do it for herself.

“Single motherhood is damn near impossible when you are plagued with depression and anxiety, or when you are filled with self-doubt, and you feel completely isolated and alone, and like you're failing your role as a mother,” Kylie said.

“Mom guilt is the absolute worst because missing out is the worst,” she added.

With that, the actress said she lets her kids know that she loves them through the small moments.

“And pray to God one day they will grow to understand you did your absolute best even at your worst,” Kylie said.

“Mama was crying too when you were throwing that tantrum. Mama was praying for you to grow tough and strong. Mama was praying for you all along,” she wrote.

The celebrity mom added that despite the challenges of single motherhood, it is the love of her kids that keeps her going.

“Mama can't wait for the day when she tells you the truth that it wasn't mama that was the superhero, it was the complete opposite,” she said. “That it was their love that kept saving her. It was them that was mama's super hero.”

Kylie has two sons with her ex-husband Aljur Abrenica: Alas and Axl.

The actress is now in a relationship with a man outside of showbiz.

She had a special participation in the film “Green Bones,” and is reprising her role as Amihan in “Sang’gre.”
