'Eraserheads: Electric Fun Music Festival' is set to bring together some of the biggest names in Original Pilipino Music (OPM) for a celebration of Filipino music. Scheduled for May 31 at the SMDC Festival Grounds, the event will feature performances by OPM legends and rising stars.

The highly anticipated “Eraserheads: Electric Fun Music Festival” is set to bring together some of the biggest names in Original Pilipino Music (OPM) for a celebration of Filipino music. Scheduled for May 31 at the SMDC Festival Grounds, the event will feature performances by OPM legends and rising stars, making it a must-attend for music lovers.

The festival will be headlined by the Eraserheads, one of the most iconic bands in the history of OPM. Known for their hit songs and undeniable influence on the Filipino music scene, the band will perform a full set for their dedicated fans, offering an extensive experience of their greatest hits.

Joining the Eraserheads on stage are OPM stalwarts and rock stars, including Basti Artadi, Dong Abay Music Organization, Imago, Moonstar88 and The Itchyworms.

These artists have played a crucial role in shaping the Pinoy music landscape and are expected to deliver performances filled with their signature hits. The festival will also feature the return of General Luna to the concert stage, adding to the excitement.

The festival is not just a tribute to established artists; it also aims to spotlight the next generation of musical talent. Emerging acts such as Blaster, Carousel Casualties, Alyson, Party Pace, Pinkmen and Sa Vie will also take the stage, showcasing the evolving sound of OPM.

Unlike many typical music festivals, the ‘Eraserheads: Electric Fun MusicFestival’ will offer a more immersive experience, with the Eraserheads performing a full concert set, allowing fans to enjoy an uninterrupted musical journey. Meanwhile, Eraserheads frontman Ely Buendia announced on his social media accounts on Sunday, April 6, the indefinite hiatus of fellow member Marcus Adoro from the band’s upcoming project.

He didn’t indicate if it was the festival. But the rock idol further posted: “As proponents of justice, we unequivocally condemn all criminal acts and stand against abuse of any form. Above all, we seek the truth.”

“As Marcus makes time to address the matter at hand, he will be stepping back from the upcoming project,” Ely wrote

In the same post, he said that they “unequivocally condemn” abuse and aim to seek the truth.

“We acknowledge the recent allegations that have surfaced online,” said Ely.

Other members of Eraserheads are Raimund Marasigan and Buddy Zabala.
