First Filipino Golden Globe nominee Dolly de Leon is starring in the second season of the thriller series “Nine Perfect Strangers,” alongside Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman and “Crazy Rich Asians” actor Henry Golding, among others.
Teaser photos released on Friday showed nine strangers at a wellness retreat in the Austrian Alps, led by the enigmatic Russian guru Masha Dmitrichenko (Kidman).
In the debut season, Masha assembled nine clients at her resort, each seeking the life-changing retreat she promised.

In the latest season, both Masha and her new set of nine guests face unexpected challenges as the former pushes them to their limits.
De Leon earlier expressed excitement over working together with Kidman in the project.
“I’m so happy, I’m so excited and thrilled. I don’t think it’s just happening to me, it’s happening to all of us kasi parang ito na ‘yung chance natin to be in the world. Sobra akong excited that it’s the Nicole Kidman,” De Leon stated in a previous interview with ABS-CBN News.
In a separate interview with The Philippine STAR, she further talked about filming the series with the Hollywood superstar in Germany in 2024.
The new season of the Prime Video hit features a strong ensemble cast that also includes Henry Golding, Christine Baranski, Murray Bartlett and Mark Strong.
“Nicole actually was there for a short time lang eh. When she arrived, she shot all her scenes na sunod-sunod… As a scene partner, she always gives something different after every take. So, what’s great about working with her is you’re always in a space of waiting for the unexpected. There’s nothing predictable about her attack as an actor,” she said.
The first two episodes of “Nine Perfect Strangers” Season 2 will premiere internationally on Prime Video (excluding the US) on May 22, with new episodes streaming weekly.
The star-studded cast also includes Lena Olin, Annie Murphy, Christine Baranski and more. The series, from David E. Kelley and Kidman’s own production outfit Blossom Films, is produced by FIFTH SEASON, which also handles distribution.
Season 1 of “Nine Perfect Strangers” is currently available on Prime Video.
