Activists and drug war victims' kin wish the ex-president lives longer so he can pay for his alleged crimes
MANILA, Philippines – Critics of former president Rodrigo Duterte stage their own protest at Liwasang Bonifacio in Manila on Friday, March 28. The protest comes as Duterte’s supporters stage prayer rallies nationwide to call for his return from the The Hague.
Duterte is facing charges of crimes against humanity over his bloody drug war.
Activists and drug war victims’ kin called for Duterte’s conviction and the impeachment of his daughter, Vice President Sara Duterte.
Families of drug war victims also offered birthday messages to the former president, who is celebrating his 80th birthday.
Critics of the former president sing him a birthday song as he turns 80.
