Daet residents hope next set of leaders will address PrimeWater problem

Rappler asks Daet residents what they want their leaders to do about their municipality's poor water service

CAMARINES NORTE, Philippines – Daet is one of the towns in Camarines Norte in the Bicol region that suffers from poor water service of the Villar-owned PrimeWater. Residents will sometimes have no water from three days up to several months.

As Daet chose its new set of leaders through the 2025 midterm elections, Rappler asked voters what they want the new set of officials to do about PrimeWater. Voters said they hope that addressing the municipality’s water problem will be the top priority.

PrimeWater and Camarines Norte Water District inked a 25-year joint venture program to improve its service for the province’s residents onJanuary 14, 2016.
