Two big pushers nabbed in Dasmariñas operations

IMUS CITY, Cavite — The City Drug Enforcement Team of the Dasmariñas Component City Police Station apprehended two high-value individuals in separate operations on April 2 and April 3 in Dasmariñas City.

The raiding team confiscated a total of P1,666,000 worth of illegal drugs in two operations.

LtCol. Regino Oñate, chief of Dasmariñas Philippine National Police, identified the suspects as alias Toyo, 34, male, and resident of Brgy. 5 Poblacion, Gen. Mariano Alvarez, Cavite; and alias Barok, 43, male, resident of Brgy. Gregorio De Jesus, Gen. Mariano Alvarez, Cavite.

Alias Toyo was arrested on Wednesday at about 10:55 p.m. in Barangay San Agustin 2 while alias Barok was arrested on Thursday at about 2:45 a.m. in Barangay Burol Main, Dasmariñas City, Cavite.

The City Drug Enforcement Team, in coordination with the PDEA-4A, found alias Toyo in possession of three pieces of heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing an more or less 150 grams of shabu with standard drug price of P1,020,000. The drug bust money was also recovered.

Alias Barok, on the other hand, yielded six heat-sealed plastics containing about 95 grams of shabu worth P646,000.

These successful operations are testament to the relentless efforts of the Cavite PPO in combating illegal drugs in the province. The arrested suspects will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165.

Col. Dwight Alegre, acting provincial director of Cavite Provincial Police Office (PPO), expressed his gratitude to the City Drug Enforcement team of the Dasmariñas Component City Police Station for their prompt and decisive action to combat illegal drugs activities in Cavite.

"I want to commend our drug operations team for successfully apprehending the high-value individuals engaged in illicit drug activities. Let us keep collaborating closely to eradicate the dangers presented by illegal drugs and to capture everyone engaged in the illicit drug trade," he added.
