Finally, something else besides Skyrim.

At long last, after getting new editions of Skyrim again and again in the last decade or so, we have something new-ish, an Oblivion remaster.

Albeit, I’m very disappointed it was a remaster and not a full remake. But I’ll take it, I suppose. I’d prefer it if they gave us any news of TES VI instead, but oh well. However, there are some reports that say, developer Virtuous, have recreated every asset from scratch. They also used Unreal Engine 5 and added a ton of other changes, including UI and the leveling system. HUD and menu have also been updated. So, it’s starting to sound more like the game has indeed been remade. But who am I to challenge the marketing terminologies behind Bethesda and Microsoft?

The base game of Oblivion Remastered will include the DLCs of the OG Oblivion, The Shivering Isles and Knights of The Nine.

There is a Remastered Deluxe Edition, which comes out with extra new quests, armors, and stuff, which is all really very scrummy in my opinion. Should I get the Oblivion Remaster myself, it will be the base game only, then I’ll probably upgrade later on a big Steam sale five years after TES 6 comes out.

Besides Oblivion Remaster, heavy are the rumors of a Fallout 3 Remastered and a possible new Dishonored game.
