Meizu has officially teased the meizu Note 16 Series back in March, confirming its planned launch for April in China.
However, recent reports suggest that the release has been delayed to May. In relation with this, live images of the device, along with some key specifications, have emerged on Weibo.
Based on the live images, the meizu Note 16 shows a flat display on the front and an octagonal camera island with a gold finish on the back.
The rest of the rear panel features a simple orange leather texture. While the image gives the impression of a triple-camera setup, the Meizu Note 16 actually comes with just a dual-camera system, as far as the leaks suggest.
Check out the expected specs below.
meizu Note 16 (expected) specs:
6.78-inch FHD+ LCD
2460 x 1080 pixels
UNISOC T765 SoC
12GB RAM
256GB storage
Dual rear cameras:
– 50MP main
– 2MP auxiliary
8MP selfie shooter
5G, 4G LTE
Wi-Fi
Bluetooth
GPS
USB Type-C
Flyme 12 AI OS, Android 15
6550mAh battery
40W charging (wired)
It’s unclear why Meizu has delayed the launch of the Note 16, and that might have to do with them now being under DreamSmart, a Geely-backed smartphone company.
Thus, Meizu’s focus on the Flyme OS may be more about enhancing in-car experiences than its mobile business, but take this with a grain of salt.
