MANILA, Philippines —  Social media personality Francis Leo Marcos, who allegedly donned a police uniform, was arrested in Pasay yesterday.

Marcos, whose real name is Norman Mangusin, was nabbed by the police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) while having lunch in a hotel and livestreaming on his YouTube account.

However, the vlogger’s arrest was not connected with his illegal use of a police uniform.

Marcos was nabbed after a Parañaque court issued a warrant for 12 counts of unjust vexation in relation to Republic Act 10175, the Cybercrime Prevention Act.

The court set the bail for his temporary liberty at P120,000.

The case was filed by one of Marcos’ nemesis, content creator Mark Jayson Warnakulahewa.

During a press conference at the CIDG  headquarters at Camp Crame in Quezon City, National Police Commission executive officer Rafael Calinisan said the vlogger’s arrest turned into a circus as Marcos and Warnakulahewa traded barbs.

Marcos told reporters he was acquitted of the estafa cases that Warnakulahewa said he faced in the past.

The vlogger also criticized the police for presenting him at a press conference for unjust vexation, which he considers a minor offense.
