MANILA, Philippines — Singlife Philippines is entering its next growth phase on the back of a strong 2025 performance, reinforcing its purpose of helping more Filipinos find a better way to financial independence through simpler, more accessible protection. Supporting this next chapter, Singlife Philippines is now fully owned by Singapore Life Holdings Pte. Ltd., strengthening group alignment and accelerating execution of its digital-first strategy—while underscoring Singlife Holdings long-term commitment to the Philippine market.

Despite progress in recent years, a significant protection gap remains. Insurance penetration in the Philippines stands at 1.79%, meaning only about two in 100 Filipinos are insured—leaving many households financially vulnerable to illness, accidents, emergencies or income disruption.

“Insurance should be simple, relevant and within reach of every Filipino,” said Lester Cruz, CEO of Singlife Philippines.

“Our goal is to close the protection gap by making it easy for people to secure coverage for what matters most to them—so families can recover faster from unexpected moments. By delivering affordable protection that can be accessed in minutes on a phone, we’re helping more Filipinos build resilience and move closer to financial independence”

Digital-first momentum and broader access through everyday platforms

With products accessible via mobile through the Singlife app and through partners such as GCash, Maya, AUB and UNO Digital Bank, the company is widening pathways to protection where Filipinos already are.

Building on this, Singlife continues its Insurance For All campaign with its digital partners. Through the program, users can claim free accident insurance worth P100,000 in just two taps—at zero cost, with no hidden mechanics. For many, it is their first-ever insurance policy, offering a simple introduction to the peace of mind that financial protection provides. To date, over 450,000 Filipinos have already claimed coverage, with the company aiming to help even more do the same.

Singlife continues to expand its banking ecosystems through partnerships with institutions that share its commitment to accessible, customer-first financial solutions. Following its launch on Asia United Bank’s (AUB) HelloMoney app last year, Singlife is set to roll out on AUB’s Hello Pag-IBIG app soon—bringing protection to more Filipinos through a platform they already use and trust.

reflects Singlife’s partner-led approach: working with organizations like AUB that prioritize inclusion, convenience and everyday financial empowerment, so insurance can be offered where it naturally fits into customers’ lives.

Showing up nationwide through Philippine Marathon Majors

Beyond broadening its distribution reach, Singlife is also connecting with communities across the country through the Philippine Marathon Majors, promoting a healthier and more active lifestyle and reinforcing what Singlife stands for: helping people protect what matters as they pursue their goals. The next leg will take place in Iloilo on April 12, with more races to follow outside Metro Manila.

Next quarter: New protection products designed for real life

Singlife also gave media an early look at upcoming product launches planned for next quarter—solutions focused on practical protection needs:

Singlife TermProtect — a term life insurance product that protects customers for a set number of years, providing coverage against death and disabilities that fit your life stage.

Short-Term Accidents cover — flexible, short-duration accident protection that Filipinos can avail for a specific period without committing to a long-term plan, suited for travel, training for an event, short-term assignments or added peace of mind on a budget.

Dengue protection — Designed to ease the financial burden of dengue, this coverage includes diagnostic tests, dengue fever benefits and death benefits, particularly important during seasons when cases tend to rises.

Introducing Sigla, Singlife’s new financial companion

To make insurance feel more approachable and easier to understand, Singlife recently introduced Sigla, its new financial companion inspired by the Philippine eagle—a symbol of strength, vigilance and protection. Sigla is designed to help bridge the gap between uncertainty and confidence, guiding more Filipinos toward simple, everyday protection with Singlife.

In the coming months, more Filipinos will start seeing Sigla across the Singlife app and in campaigns and community touchpoints, including partnerships like the Philippine Marathon Majors and other initiatives—making Sigla a clear, trusted marker of Singlife protection in everyday life.

“Everything we do—from expanding access through our partners to building products that fit real life—is guided by one purpose: making protection simpler, more affordable and easier to get for more Filipinos,” Lester said.

“We’re committed to moving faster, innovating more boldly, and reaching more Filipino families with the protection they need—so they can face life’s uncertainties with confidence.”
