The Samsung Galaxy A Series launch event has been announced, set to happen on March 2, 2025. There’s also a landing page for the event registration found at Samsung India’s website.
While specific devices weren’t named, expected launches include the A56, A36, and A26 due to recent leaks online. We can only infer so much from the teaser image, which shows two devices only. It’s possible that Samsung will only announce two out of three devices.
Online rumors speculate that the three devices will share a 6.7-inch display that supports up to 2340 x 1080 resolution. The A56 and A36 are also set to sport in-display fingerprint sensors, while the A26 has a side-mounted one.
For chipsets, the A56 is slated to be powered by an Exynos 1580 with 8GB RAM. Meanwhile, the A36 and A26 will have a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 and Exynos 1380, respectively. Both devices should get configuration options with either 6GB/8GB RAM.
For optics, all will have a 50-megapixel camera with OIS. However, the A56 will have a 12-megapixel ultra wide while the other two will have an 8-megapixel ultra wide. The A56 and A36 will also have a 5-megapixel macro, while the A26 will have a 2-megapixel macro.
These devices are said to be shipping with One UI 7 based on Android 15. If this holds true, Galaxy S24 owners should feel a bit jealous of the midrangers for a bit. Don’t worry though, we’ll update readers as soon as we can regarding further news on One UI 7 updates.
