Rufa Mae Quinto writes appreciation message for daughter Athena: 'You are my inspiration and lucky charm'

Despite the challenges she is facing right now, Rufa Mae Quinto has the strength to face the world thanks to her daughter Athena. 

On Instagram, the Kapuso actress and comedienne shared an adorable clip of Athena when she was baby, trying to smile at the camera.

She also wrote a heartfelt message for her unica hija. 

"Hi little one, my minimi. I am grateful your go go growing so fast, you are my inspiration and lucky charm," she wrote in the caption.

"I'm so overwhelmed sa daming nagaganap sa life out there, now that for as long as I can see you smile, tanggal pagod, takot and emo ko. We will protect you for as long as we live," she added.

Athena is Rufa's daughter with husband Trevor Magallanes, whom she married in 2016.

Previously, Rufa admitted that she and Trevor are "going through something," but clarified that they have not filed a divorce.

Rufa is also facing charges of violation the Securities Regulation Code in relation to the issue of Dermacare. She posted P1.7 million bail after surrendered herself to the National Bureau of Investigation on January 8.
