The realme Note 60 has been available in the Philippines since September of last year. It’s an entry-level smartphone that promises superb performance and toughness at an accessible price tag – and it seems that the brand wants to double down on this by releasing a variant with increased RAM, months later.
This device originally came with a UNISOC T612 as its beating heart, coupled with 4GB of RAM and either 64 or 128GB of expandable storage. A recent announcement then cemented the release of a variant with 6GB of RAM, right on Valentine’s Day.
Since RAM contributes to keeping apps open during use, expect stronger multitasking capabilities on this variant of the realme Note 60. Images on the Note 60’s page on the realme website also point towards the presence of Dynamic RAM expansion up to 12GB – leading to a “total” of 18GB of RAM.
Apart from the change mentioned, the realme Note 60 comes with ArmorShell protection, which has gained the device the tagline “Tough As Steel.” It’s built to resist damage from bends, scratches, and drops, which are all hazards we face in everyday life. It also comes with IP64 dustproofing and water resistance. A “Rainwater Smart Touch” feature also promises ease of use, even when the screen is in contact with water.
Other notable specs include a 6.74-inch HD+ LCD display with a refresh rate of 90Hz, a 32-megapixel “Super Clear” rear shooter with a rebuilt Night Mode, and a promise of 48 months (4 years) of reliable use. They’ve even secured TÜV Rheinland High Reliability Certification to prove their point.
The 5,000 mAh battery can be powered up with a 10W USB Type-C charger.
The realme Note 60 starts at PHP 4,999 for the 4/64GB model, while the 4/128GB variant is priced at PHP 5,999. Colors available are Marble Black and Voyage Blue. Stay tuned on our pricing updates for the 6/128GB variant.
