CAMP ALAGAR, Cagayan de Oro City — Four suspects reportedly peddling illegal drugs worth P1.972 million were arrested in a buy-bust operation on Thursday, the regional police command here said on Friday.
Police identified the suspects only by their aliases as Robin of Iponan; Pedro of Bulua; and Fely of Balulang in Cagayan de Oro City; and PJ of Aloran, Misamis Occidental.
Operatives from the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (Cocpo) drug enforcement unit cornered the suspects inside a room of a hostel along Corrales Street Thursday.
Police recovered 290 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P1.972 million, illegal drug paraphernalia, mobile phone and the P 1,200 buy-bust money.
The suspects are now in the custody of the Cocpo pending the filing of charges against the suspects under Republic Act 9165.
