IBA, Zambales — Gov. Hermogenes Ebdane Jr. reaffirmed the local government’s strong coordination with various sectors in its push for inclusive and sustained provincial development during the 14th Full Council Meeting of the Provincial Development Council (PDC) on Friday.

The meeting gathered key stakeholders from local government units, national agencies, and civil society to discuss updates on ongoing programs, projects and initiatives aligned with the province’s long-term development agenda.

A major highlight of the session was the PDC’s endorsement of proposed infrastructure projects under the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Region 3 and the Zambales 2nd Engineering District.

“This endorsement reflects our continued partnership with national agencies to ensure that Zambaleños receive the services and infrastructure they deserve,” Ebdane said.

The governor also cited the potentials of Zambales to become a leading province in the country.

“Zambales has great potentials to become one of the richest provinces, not only in Central Luzon, but in the entire Philippines. As long as our systems, projects, and programs are in order, and we run the government efficiently, I believe that day will come,” Ebdane said.

He also called for unity and integrity in governance.

“My only request is that we practice good governance — a government that is honest and truly cares for the people. If we rally behind this goal, nothing is impossible for Zambales,” he said.

The outgoing members of the PDC members were also recognized for their service and valuable contributions to the council.

The meeting underscored the importance of inclusive planning, transparent governance, and sustained collaboration between leaders and communities in advancing the province’s development goals, the governor said.
