Netflix has revealed the full Team Philippines lineup for "Physical: Asia!"
Leading the team is boxing champion and former senator Manny Pacquiao. Joining him are Fil-Am national team sambo athlete Mark Mugen, strongman Ray Jefferson Querubin, national team rugby player Justin Coveney, national team hurdler Robyn Lauren Brown, and crossfit athlete Lara Liwanag.
The other participating countries are likewise anchored by a national superstar "who embodies the competitive spirit of their homeland," according to Netflix.
Korea: UFC trailblazer Dong-hyun “Stun Gun” Kim leads a powerhouse squad which includes Olympic gold medalist Yun Sung-bin, and Amotti (Physical: 100 Season 2 winner).
Here's the full list of champions repping each squad:
- Philippines: Boxing icon Manny Pacquiao, the only eight-division world champion in history
- Japan: Yushin Okami, one of Asia’s most decorated MMA fighters
- Australia: Former UFC Middleweight Champion Robert “The Reaper” Whittaker
- Thailand: Muay Thai world champion Superbon
- Mongolia: Traditional wrestling star Orkhonbayar Bayarsaikhan
- Turkiye: Four-time oil wrestling champion Recep Kara
- Indonesia: Physique powerhouse Igedz “Executioner”
Pacquiao's participation was announced in February. He flew to South Korea to film the show.
"Physical: Asia" is the newest season of the "Physical: 100" franchise, which originated from South Korea. The original reality show featured 100 competitors fighting to outlast each other in a grueling individual tournament.
The upcoming season will be a team competition featuring top-tier athletes representing their respective countries. It is set to premiere in October.
