A total of 40,252 people visited the Philippine Pavilion at the Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan since it was opened to the public on April 13.

In a statement Tuesday, Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco said the number of visitors affirmed the “global curiosity, admiration, and connection the Pavilion has sparked among international guests of the Expo."

“This is more than an exhibition. It is a movement of culture, connection, and creativity that brings the Philippines to the world stage in a way we have never seen before… The remarkable turnout of 40,252 visitors in just nine days is a resounding affirmation of the strength of our story, the power of our people, and the beauty of our culture. It is a triumphant debut for the Philippines, and a proud moment for all Filipinos,” said Frasco.

Among the notable visitors at the Philippine Pavilion was Qatar Museums chairperson Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani, who expressed her admiration for the Pavilion’s design and storytelling.

The Philippine Pavilion showcases Filipino creativity and passion through 212 handwoven fabrics and immersive tech-powered storytelling installations. It embodies the theme, "Nature, Culture, and Community: Woven Together for a Better Future."

GMA Integrated News' Katrina Son earlier reported that the Pavilion, named "Woven," draws inspiration from traditional Filipino weaving techniques to symbolize the interconnectedness of the nation's heritage and aspirations.

The centerpiece “Dancing with Nature” also brings visitors to the “living elements of the natural world.”

“The TPB team is working tirelessly to welcome guests and ensure they experience the true warmth of Filipino hospitality. Our hope is that every visitor who enters the Pavilion leaves inspired to discover the Philippines firsthand for at the heart of our country is our greatest strength—our people. And it is through empowering them that we continue to share the very best of who we are with the world,” said Tourism Promotions Board Philippines Chief Operating Officer Maria Margarita Nograles.

“This Pavilion is our invitation to the world to feel the warmth of our hospitality, to be awed by the wonder of our islands, and to connect with the soul of our people. We welcome everyone to experience why there is every reason to Love the Philippines,” Frasco added.
