MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Coast Guard rescued 14 passengers after a motorized boat capsized due to strong waves in Ternate, Cavite on Sunday, the PCG reported.
In a social media post, the PCG said its response team rescued the passengers, prioritizing women and children, with the help of another motorized boat that was passing by.
In Davao Oriental, the PCG District Southeastern Mindanao said it is searching for six fishermen who have been missing since Feb. 20.
A Notice to All Mariners or NOTAM to alert all transiting vessels, watercraft and fishermen has been issued, asking them to be on the lookout for the group.
