DAVAO CITY — Police operatives arrested a resident of Albuera, Leyte, involved in a broad daylight robbery-holdup at a pawnshop on Ilustre Street here at around 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 26.
Davao City Police Office (DCPO) identified the suspect as Jonny Dejito Bulawan, who is of legal age.
According to DCPO chief Col. Hanzel Marantan, they are still in pursuit of the other suspects who robbed the Hannah Pawnshop, Ilustre Branch in Barangay 3-A.
Bulawan was arrested at Bankerohan Public Market after carting away pawned jewelry from the pawnshop.
Recovered during the hot pursuit operation from the suspect were one M16 rifle with bullets, a 9 mm pistol, and a motorcycle used by the suspects.

The police also recovered a bag containing assorted jewelry worth more or less P40 million to P100 million.
In an interview, Marantan said that they are still checking the CCTV footage as to the number of suspects involved in the robbery.
"Right now, we are backtracking the identities of the arrested suspect and the other suspects. We know their families already," according to Marantan.
