Up-and-coming boy group GAT, short for "Gawang Atin 'To," is ready to redefine the P-Pop scene with their electrifying vocals and smooth dance moves.

GAT is also rooted in the old Filipino honorific "Gatdula." It is given to Pinoy gentlemen back in the day who brought pride and honor to the country, including Gat Jose Rizal and Gat Andres Bonifacio. The name captures what the rising boy group promises to bring to the local music scene — excellence, pride and respect for their craft, backed up by their diverse flair and charismatic numbers.

Under the management of Ivory Music and VAA (Viva Artists Agency), the quintet — which consists Ethan David, Charles Law, Michael Keith, Derick Ong and Hans Paronda — is set to make waves in the Philippine entertainment.

GAT first made an impression among P-Pop fans with their pre-debut performance video last January, covering the James Reid hit "Huwag Ka Nang Humirit." They got P-Pop fans talking even more when they covered "Marikit" by Juan Caoile and Kyleswish.

But it was their hit cover of "Daleng-Dale" that grabbed the attention of the audience. GAT's rendition of the MMJ single, which is also an original soundtrack for the Viva One hit series "Ang Mutya ng Section E," earned the eight spot on Spotify Philippines' Daily Viral Songs chart. Their choreography of the hit song has also gone viral on TikTok.

However, it's not only in the P-Pop scene where the boys are making names for themselves. Most of the members of GAT are also part of the supporting cast of "Ang Mutya ng Section E," which is headlined by Andres Muhlach, Ashtine Olviga, and Rabin Angeles, entertaining audience members not just onstage but onscreen as well.

All members of GAT have distinctive talents and charisma to offer when it comes to performing.

Ethan is known for his versatile talent in acting, singing, and dancing. He has starred in the films "Squad Goals" (2018), "Two Weeks, End" (2022), and "How To Love Mr. Heartless" (2022).

Charles, with his undeniable charisma, has a playful energy that makes him one to watch out for. After starring in films such as "Penduko" (2023) and "The Ship Show" (2023), as well as the "University Series' The Rain in España" (2023), he is ready to take GAT by storm as a captivating performer.

Michael is an R&B performer with a versatile voice, having the ability to switch to soulful singing and slip rap verses with ease. He recently showcased this versatility with his singles "Ayayay" and "Drowning," giving fans a tease of what he can showcase in GAT.

With his groovy moves and delightful smile that can capture audience members with ease, Derick has an ability to connect to fans. A hockey and volleyball player by heart, he is ready to add "performer" to his résumé with his swaggish talent for singing and dancing.

A rich, resonant, and expressive voice and delivery is what Hans is known for. As the runner-up of "Born to Be a Star" in 2020, he can showcase a dynamic range and natural charm as one of the members of GAT, and he has proven so with his singles "Ok Lang Ako" and "Puto" (featuring OPM icon Janno Gibbs).

After doing amazing covers of songs from talented musical artists, GAT is ready to showcase more of their talents as the next breakout group of OPM.

Watch out for their upcoming performances at "Fusion: The Philippine Music Festival" at the CCP Open Grounds on March 15 and at the "P-Pop It Up" event at the Viva Cafe on March 22.
