Celebrated as “The Voice” and “The Singer’s Singer,” Jed Madela is ready to soar once again as he headlines his birthday concert, “Superhero,” on July 5 at the Music Museum. More than a showcase of his signature vocal prowess, the evening promises to be a heartfelt celebration of his journey, gratitude, and the stories that shaped him over the past year.

The concert was the centerpiece of Star Magic’s Spotlight press conference for June, held this week at Coffee Project in Wil Tower, Quezon City. In an intimate gathering with the media, Madela shared his preparations for the much-anticipated show and what sets this concert apart from his past performances.

“I really learn the songs by heart. And now that we’re doing this full concert, of course I also focus on endurance. I try to be more physically fit for the concert. I even oversee the production myself,” he said.

Madela, who regularly mounts concerts every July to celebrate his birthday, explained why this year’s event is particularly special. “Every concert is an opportunity for me to share stories from the past year. This is my way of giving back and showing gratitude to the people who continue to support me.”

Beyond “Superhero,” Madela is also set to perform at the Birmingham Barrio Fiesta on July 13 at Woodgate Valley Country Park. This will be followed by another major show on August 23 at “Bravo Manila” at The Theatre at Solaire, where he will share the stage with Bituin Escalante and Sofronio Vasquez in a grand celebration of Filipino musical excellence.

As if his packed concert calendar isn’t exciting enough, Madela also teased the upcoming release of his new album under Star Music. The project, he said, will feature fresh melodies and heartfelt lyrics, something his loyal fans can look forward to.

“What’s more important to me now is realizing how big my impact is on people — especially on the new artists today. It’s something I really want to pay forward,” he said.

With another birthday just around the corner, it’s clear that Madela continues to embrace every opportunity to grow, create and inspire — both on stage and beyond.

“I’m a toy collector and an art toy designer. I’ve been very active in the community. Toycon 2025 just wrapped up, and I was part of it. The latest toy I released was ‘VuDU Boy,’ a character I created in 2009. It started as a sketch and eventually evolved into an actual art toy,” he shared.

As he marks another year, Madela stands tall — continuing to inspire with his artistry, dedication, and generosity of spirit in an industry he has made his own.
