MANILA, Philippines — For the aspirants who did not pass the 2025 Bar Examinations, Bar Chair Associate Justice Amy Lazaro Javier urged them to "rise again."

During her speech at the release of the 2025 Bar Examination results on Wednesday, January 7, Javier urged the individuals who failed to "grieve" but never give up.

"For my bar babies, whose names will not appear on the list, my heart goes to you. I know what it is like to give it your all and still not succeed. There is nothing shameful about failing. Do not allow yourself to believe otherwise, " she said during her speech.

"So grieve today, cry it all out, feel the pain, relish the sorrow. It's alright, it's part of being human. But my darlings, tomorrow, find the strength to rise again, wipe the tears away. Pick up the broken pieces, go out, try again," she added.

She also said that the Bar Examinations do not define a person's moral character, compassion, or determination.

"It will not be the end of your story, nor the scale upon which your contributions as a member of the legal profession will be measured," Lazaro-Javier said.

"In God's perfect time, in his perfect way, you will realize the fulfillment of your hopes and dreams. Always have faith, so soldier on, never stop trying to reach your goal, and when you do, I will stand on the finish line with you, still as your proud Bar mom," she added.

There were 5,594 out of 11,420 Bar examinees who passed the exams, yielding a passing rate of 48.98%.

The oath-taking and the roll signing of the Bar takers who passed the exams will be on February 6 at the Philippine Arena.
