PNP Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr.
Philippine National Police?
MANILA, Philippines — After being ranked among the country’s top-rate government officials in a recent survey, Philippine National Police chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. vowed to improve the PNP’s collaboration with communities and other stakeholders.
“We will continue to strengthen our collaboration with communities and ensure that all the actions of the PNP is geared toward the greater good of the people,” Nartatez said in Filipino in a statement.
Nartatez ranked seventh in the Boses ng Bayan Index of Governance survey done by the RPMD Foundation.
The survey, conducted from April 1 to 8 among 5,000 respondents, showed Nartatez garnering a 78.8 percent index of governance score, a trust rating of 78.5 percent and a 79.1 percent performance rating.
Nartatez said the result reflects the public’s confidence in the PNP’s efforts to maintain peace and order in communities.
“This recognition is not for one person alone, but for the men and women of the PNP who work tirelessly every day to keep our communities safe,” Nartatez said.
