MANILA, Philippines – The official campaigns started on Friday, March 28, for Metro Manila’s 11 reelectionist mayors, many of whom are facing serious challengers. The races are particularly interesting, if not intense, in Caloocan, Malabon, Manila, Parañaque, Pasig, and Marikina.
Regardless of whether they are incumbents or challengers, they have to face the voters and present their plans and strategies in tackling a number of persistent concerns that urbanization brings. What are these concerns?
