Chandler and Kala McDaniel each tally braces as mighty Stallion-Laguna romps young UST to keep a lead share with Kaya in the 2025 PFF Women's League

MANILA, Philippines – Stallion-Laguna barged into a share of an early standings lead in the 2025 PFF Women’s League after blasting the UST Lady Booters, 6-0, at the Mall of Asia Football Pitch on Sunday, March 30.

Philippine national team member Chandler McDaniel put the match out of reach with a quick brace in the 7th and 20th minutes.

Kala McDaniel scrapped for her own brace at the 26th and 70th minutes in the Stallion goal-fest that put it on par with Kaya, which outclassed the debuting Capital1 Solar Strikers, 3-0, in the game day’s other match offering.

Stallion-Laguna and Kaya are tied lead with identical 2-0 records.

“The first game we still did well, but I thought that we, you know, took the week and … worked on what we needed to do,” Chandler said. “And we were able to finish a couple more chances.”

Sierra Castles found the back of the net in the 42nd minute while Pauline San Buenaventura capped the scoring in the 82nd to complete its schooling of young UST.

But the Lady Booters took the beating on the chin as they continue to soak up invaluable experience they can take moving forward in the PFF and in the UAAP.

“So far, on our part, it’s going well because we don’t really aim for the score, we don’t really aim for the win,” said UST defender Rica Gerona, “We’re aiming for the build-up of the team, we’re aiming [to build] our chemistry.”

In the other game, Dionesa Tolentin kicked off Kaya’s bid against Capital1 with a goal in the 21st minute and team captain Hali Long, the Filipinas’ national team top defender, doubled the cushion in the 42nd.

“We played together that’s why we got this win,” Tolentin said. “We followed the system our coach set up and we just added a little of our creativity on the field.”
