MANILA, Philippines — The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) on Saturday, July 11, announced the cancellation of several international flights due to the effects of Typhoon Inday (international name: Bavi).

Earlier in the day, state weather bureau PAGASA said Bavi had exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility at 8:20 a.m. and was moving over the East China Sea, where it is forecast to make landfall along the eastern coast of mainland China.

At least 10 international flights have been canceled so far.

Here is the list of canceled flights for July 11, according to the CAAP:

Philippine Airlines

  • PR 336/337 Manila – Shanghai (Pudong) – Manila
  • PR 890/891 Manila – Taipei – Manila
  • PR 896/897 Manila – Taipei – Manila
  • PR 462/463 Manila – Busan – Manila
  • PR 438/437 Manila – Nagoya – Manila
  • PR 426/425 Manila – Fukuoka – Manila
  • PR 434/433 Cebu – Tokyo (Narita) – Cebu
  • PR 408 Manila – Osaka (Kansai)
  • PR 432 Manila – Tokyo (Narita)
  • PR 428/427 Manila – Tokyo (Narita) – Manila

CAAP advised affected passengers to coordinate with their respective airlines regarding rebooking, refunds and the latest flight advisories.

While Inday has already exited the country's area of responsibility, the typhoon continues to affect international air travel as it moves toward mainland China.
