Liam Payne's GF Kate Cassidy still can't 'wrap head around' reality: 'I miss you more than words can say'

Eight months after Liam Payne's tragic death, his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, remains in a state of grief.

The influencer took to Instagram to share photos of their moments together, a solo shot, screenshots of text messages, and a sunset.

“[Eight] months ago today, I lost my best friend and someone I thought I had so much more time and life left to share with,” she said.

“Liam was the kind of person you’d start missing the moment you walked out the door. Even when leaving the house for a few hours, I’d find myself rushing home to be with him again out of excitement,” Kate added.

She said that living without Liam is still something she cannot fully grasp.

“Knowing I can’t just come home and see you, hear your voice, or feel your hug, it’s a type of pain I can’t fully put into words,” Kate said.

“I can’t seem to tell if life is flying by without you or moving so slow none of it fully makes sense. But I am trying to live my life as best I can for now and live it for you,” she added. “I miss you more than words can say. One day, I’ll see you again, and I’ll have so much to tell you. So much to catch up on.”

Kate ended her post by writing, “I love you my angel. 444.”

In a post shortly after his passing, Kate told the singer, “Liam, my angel. You are everything. I want you to know I loved you unconditionally and completely. I will continue to love you for the rest of my life. I love you Liam.”

She also revealed that she and Liam had planned on getting married.

In October 2024, Liam died after he fell from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was 31 years old.

According to an autopsy report, he suffered 25 injuries, including a serious head injury. Police said he was alone when the incident happened, and there were indications that he experienced an episode due to alleged substance abuse.

A close friend who was with Liam, who was cleared of any wrongdoing, said in March that drugs are to blame.
