Lalamove RIDE launches on February 10 to take on Grab

1 month ago 11

Lalamove will soon be launching its ride-hailing service in the Philippines this month. Simply dubbed as Lalamove RIDE, it is set to launch as early as next week on February 10, 2025.

It will compete against the likes of Grab, JoyRide, and InDrive, offering four-wheeled vehicles. These include hatchbacks and sedans for up to four passengers as well as SUVs and MPVs for up to six passengers.

The company has already posted registration steps and requirements for interested drivers. Notably, Lalamove RIDE will be open to drivers who own hybrid or electric cars. This sets a precedent for ride-hailing services in the Philippines.

Lalamove promises that drivers will receive 98% of their earnings, insurance coverage (including for passengers), and additional income opportunities from taking delivery orders as well.

Lalamove RIDE initially rolled out in Malaysia in November 2024. The new ride-hailing service will go live through the same mobile app on Google Play Store and App Store.

The exact scope of their service availability remains uncertain, but Filipino users can expect Lalamove RIDE to be available within Metro Manila at launch.
