After less than a year together, Kyline Alcantara and Kobe Paras have called it quits.
Kobe’s mother, Jackie Forster, confirmed their breakup through a lengthy video statement released Sunday night, revealing that the couple had been experiencing relationship troubles since January.
Here’s a look back on their relationship.
May 2024: Dating rumors begin
Kyline and Kobe first sparked dating rumors when sharp-eyed netizens noticed they had posted photos from the same restaurant in Makati around the same time.
Not long after, Kobe left a heart-eyed emoji on Kyline’s post and even shared it on his Instagram Stories.
June 2024: Spotted together
In June 2024, Kyline and Kobe were spotted holding hands while strolling in Bonifacio Global City.
After being spotted together, Kyline said in an interview in "24 Oras" that she and Kobe are "friends."
July 2024: 'Friends'
At the GMA Gala in July 2024, Kobe said that he and Kyline were “great friends.” During this time, the basketball player flexed Kyline on his Instagram Stories.
August 2024: Growing closer
Kyline publicly expressed gratitude for Kobe’s unwavering support, saying he had made her “happy.”
September 2024: Joint project
Kyline and Kobe marked their first project together and starred in an online miniseries dubbed “Miss Legends.”
They also attended New York Fashion Week, with Kobe sharing Kyline's runway walk for Filipino fashion designer Chris Nick. His mom, Jackie, also expressed her support for the two.
November 2024: Kobe confirms they're dating
In an exclusive interview with fashion magazine Cosmopolitan Philippines, Kobe confirmed that he and Kyline are dating.
December 2024: Meet the family
A month after Kobe's publicly confirmation, Kyline said she already introduced him to her parents, Butch and Rowena Alcantara. Kobe also spent Christmas 2024 with Kyline’s family.
January 2025: Meet the family, US edition
The two traveled to Los Angeles, California, where Kyline met Kobe’s family.
April 2025: Unfollowed on social media
By mid-April, Kyline and Kobe had unfollowed each other on Instagram. Shortly after, Jackie confirmed their breakup in a video statement and defended Kobe against cheating allegations.
