Kris Aquino gave a closer look at what an autoimmune disease flare looks like in her latest health update.
In an Instagram Reel, the Queen of All Media shared photos and videos of bruises all over her body, red spots on her face, and thinning frame. One clip showed Kris’ fever reaching more than 38 degrees Celsius.
Kris said that she has been experiencing a lupus flare for “more than two weeks.”
"This is MY NOW… i wanted you to see the pain and struggle so that you will continue to pray," she said.
According to the Lupus Foundation of America, when a lupus flare occurs, patients will notice a return of the symptoms they have experienced before.
One of its symptoms is an ongoing fever, but not due to an infection. Its triggers include emotional stress, physical stress, exhaustion, genetics, colds, and infections, among others.
As seen in her video, Kris is being tended to by doctors, and assisted by her son, Bimby.
Gary Valenciano, Iza Calzado, Cherry Pie Picache, Francis Libiran, and more commented that they are praying for Kris.
In a previous health update, Kris revealed that she has been diagnosed with her seventh autoimmune disease, Fibromyalgia. She was previously cleared of cancer.
In February, Kris made her first public appearance following her health challenges to attend the People Asia People of the Year 2025 awards night and showed support for her friend Michael Leyva.
