After weeks of not personally addressing the dating allegations involving the late actress Kim Sae-ron, Kim Soo-hyun is finally stepping into the spotlight to set the record straight.
On Sunday, March 30, Soo-hyun's agency, Gold Medalist, announced that the actor would hold a press conference to discuss the recent controversies surrounding him.
However, the agency said Soo-hyun would not entertain questions during the conference.
Gold Medalist's announcement about Soo-hyun's upcoming press conference reads as follows:
"Hello, this is GOLDMEDALIST.
First, we feel apologetic for having given you cause for concern through recent incidents. Therefore, we have prepared a conference where we can personally meet and speak to reporters.
On this day, there will be an official statement made by our legal representative, the law firm LKB & Partners, and actor Kim Soo Hyun.
Furthermore, we ask for your understanding in advance, as there will be no separate question-and-answer time aside from the prepared statement.
Thank you."
The announcement follows a press conference held by Sae-ron's family, during which their legal representative revealed screenshots of text messages allegedly exchanged between Soo-hyun and Sae-ron while she was still a minor.
On March 10, the YouTube channel Hoverlab alleged that Soo-hyun was in a six-year relationship with Sae-ron, which reportedly began when she was 15.
Since then, Hoverlab has been releasing photos and videos that allegedly capture moments from their rumored relationship.
