Aliya Raymundo steps into a daring new role in "Elevator Lady," a provocative drama now streaming on VMX. Directed by Rodante Pajemna, Jr., the film follows the story of a young woman navigating desire, survival and power within the confines of a residential building's elevator shaft.

Set in a bustling residential building, the story follows Kat, a working student played by Raymundo, who takes a part-time job as an elevator operator to support herself. Facing financial pressures, Kat finds herself offering special arrangements to some of the male tenants in exchange for extra income — decisions that blur the lines between survival and self-worth.

One of the new tenants, Jay (Albie Casiño), catches Kat's attention. With his looks and wealth, Kat sees a chance at something more than the transactional encounters she's grown used to. As she draws closer to Jay, however, their budding relationship becomes entangled in secrets they are both desperate to hide. As these truths slowly unravel, the story moves toward unexpected turns that test their trust and personal limits.

The supporting cast includes Vern Kaye as Mimi, a disabled tenant who observes life in the building from her quiet corner; Zsa Zsa Zobel as Mariz, Kat's co-worker who navigates similar struggles; and Mark Dionisio as Herold, the building supervisor who wields his authority for personal gain.

Rooted in drama and sensuality, "Elevator Lady" explores themes of power, agency and the choices people make when pushed to the limits. Pajemna, Jr. directs with a lens that brings attention to the characters' inner lives while presenting the film's provocative content with restraint.
