Kim Min-ha and Noh Sang-hyun at a table read for their upcoming movie
Netflix
MANILA, Philippines — "Pachinko" stars Kim Min-ha and Noh Sang-hyun will collaborate anew for an upcoming romantic-comedy on Netflix.
The streaming platform confirmed the Korean actors would appear in a film with the working title "Messily Ever After" as "a couple whose ten-year relationship swings between 'love you to death' and 'drive you crazy.'"
"'Messily Ever After' leans into the emotional whiplash of a long-term relationship, capturing the messy mix of loyalty, irritation, desire, and doubt that comes with truly knowing someone," describes Netflix.
Min-ha's Su-hyun and Sang-hyun's Hyun-tae are lovers at first sight upon meeting on an art school campus, and after a decade together their love for each other is as strong as their hatred which leads to a number for crazy stunts done in the name of love.
Both characters are now in college as their chemistry shifts into rom-com territory, capable of reading each other's minds with just a look.
Su-hyun is a perfectionist curator who keeps everything under control at work but finds herself losing her cool entirely when love and jealousy are involved.

Hyun-tae, meanwhile, is an installation artist passionate about his craft and unafraid to stand his ground, bringing a different kind of intensity to their relationship.
"With a romance built on ten years of shared history — full of highs, lows, and everything in between — 'Messily Ever After' uses their push-and-pull dynamic to explore what it really means to stay together when the honeymoon phase has long ended," Netflix adds.
Emerging filmmaker Seo Jung-min will direct the film while Bombaram Film will produce as Netflix handles distribution.
Min-ha is no stranger to Netflix projects having appeared in last year's "Typhoon Family" and the movie "The Call." She also starred in "Light Shop," "Way Back Love," "School 2017," and "Partners for Justice."
Sang-hyun appeared in "Seoul Searching," "We Are Peaceful Brothers," and a number of cameo roles before starring in "Pachinko."
He followed that up with roles in "Love in the Big City," "Love My Scent," "Soundtrack 2," "Curtain Call," "Behind Every Star," "My Military Valentine," and last year's "Genie, Make a Wish."
