HUAWEI Mate XT Ultimate tri-fold global launch date announced

1 month ago 25

The global launch date for the HUAWEI Mate XT Ultimate tri-fold has been announced. Initially debuted in China last year, the phone is now primed for international release.

Assuming the Chinese and Global variants pose similarities, users can expect a 10.2-inch screen with 3K resolution when unfolded. This can go down to a 7.9-inch 2K display opened halfway or a 6.4-inch FHD+ screen on a single fold.

It will boast an OLED panel made with flexible material, offering better bend resistance versus typical foldable devices. HUAWEI has noted that the inner fold is engineered to handle compression, while the outer fold handles tension.

As per usual though, HUAWEI hasn’t unpacked what chipset will power the device. However, users can expect that it will have 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB for storage options. This may vary upon its release.

Optics include a 50-megapixel main camera with variable aperture (f/1.4-f/4.0), a 12-megapixel ultra wide, and 12-megapixel periscope. It’s also equipped with an 8-megapixel front camera. These are powered by HUAWEI’s XMAGE imaging system.

Additionally, it’s slated to pack a 5,600mAh battery with 66W of fast charging and 50W of wireless fast charging support. The Chinese variant of the device runs on Harmony OS 4.2. Details have yet to be uncovered on whether this device will ship with EMUI or not.
