Every year, there are major events that many look forward to. Christmas, the Super Bowl, Coachella… and the release of the latest and greatest Apple iPhone model. We just caught wind of more leaks of the Apple iPhone 17 family, including the highly-anticipated iPhone 17 Air variant.
In the video, the Apple iPhone 17 family is out in full view. The most notable change is the presence of the enlarged camera bump which can remind some of what we’ve been seeing on the Google Pixel devices. Rumors are also pointing toward an aluminum construction which is a big step from the all-glass back designs used in the current iPhone 16 models.
Among the current options, the vanilla iPhone 17 is the only one that seems to have retained its design. It may be more difficult to spot the difference between the base iPhone 16/17 models, versus the Pro variants.
Meanwhile, the Apple iPhone 17 Air is pegged to come in at a razor-thin 5.5mm, which is almost 3mm thinner than the iPhone 16 Pro Max. It keeps only one camera sensor and will likely come with a 120Hz ProMotion display, putting it squarely between the vanilla and Pro options.
It seems that Apple wants to expand the range of its iPhones in order to appeal to a larger demographic of buyers. Do you think their strategy has worked?
