Niana Guerrero and Ranz Kyle have aced Gordon Ramsay's cooking challenge!
On YouTube, Ranz Kyle shared a 19-minute vlog of them taking on Gordon's task to make a fish and chips using lapu-lapu as the main ingredient for 10 minutes.
Before they started cooking, Gordon had an important reminder for the two.
"First of all, do not turn my kitchen into a nightmare," he said.
Shortly after, Ranz and Niana started to gather the ingredients they needed for the dish. With the help of a chef from the restaurant and Gordon himself, Ranz and Niana were able to finish the challenge on time.
Gordon said that Ranz and Niana's chips and fish "look good" visually and "crispy" on the outside.
"It is cooked to perfection. Amazing," he said, calling it delicious. "It tastes crispy. That's good! Love that crunch."
Ranz and Niana smiled and gave each other a high-five.
"Good job. Well done! Really well done," Gordon said.
Previously, the British chef did a cute dance video with Ranz and Niana during his visit to Manila.
At an exclusive event, the food legend also held a "Masterchef"-like cooking challenge where celebrity chef Judy Ann Santos, food influencer Ninong Ry, culinary student Danica Lucero, and Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill PH Head Chef Bea Therese Qua presented their unique takes on the Philippines' iconic dessert, Halo-Halo.
Aside from Ranz and Niana, Gordon also collaborated with Lumpia Queen Abi Marquez, who took on his Beef Wellington Lumpia challenge.
Gordon's first restaurant in the country, Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill, opened in 2024 at the Newport World Resorts' Grand Wing.
Gordon Ramsay is the chef behind several Michelin-starred restaurants, including Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in the UK and Le Pressoir d'Argent in Bordeaux. He's opened restaurants worldwide, including in Singapore, UAE, and Japan.
