TUGUEGARAO CITY — Representatives from the German company, Advace Group, met with officials of Cagayan province to discuss multimillion-dollar renewable energy projects slated for development in the region.
On Tuesday, July 1, 2025, Robert Koehn, the Advace Philippines representative, and Robert Lasam, Advace Cagayan advisor, started to engage with Cagayan leaders regarding the project.
Koehn presented their plan for Run-of-River Hydropower Projects to Gov. Edgar “Manong Egay” Aglipay and Vice Gov. Manuel Mamba.
These projects are proposed for several suitable locations across the province, including Cadongdongan in Santa Praxedes; Cabiraoan and Santa Clara in Gonzaga; Casambalangan in Santa Ana; Lapi in Peñablanca; Bacagan and Asing-Via in Baggao; and Santa Felicitas and Masi in Rizal.
Koehn said these projects will provide residents an adequate and affordable supply of electricity generated from renewable sources, which do not produce harmful greenhouse gases.
