MANILA, Philippines — The latest winner of “Pinoy Big Brother,” Fyang Smith, said she is thankful for her current popularity after exiting the famous reality TV house.

Fyang is the winner of the latest edition of the show, “Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11" shown last year. A new edition, the first collaboration between GMA-7 and ABS-CBN, will premiere this Sunday, March 9, on GMA-7.

Philstar.com caught up with the 18-year-old at her launch as the newest face of food brand Mang Inasal’s Extra Creamy Halo-Halo variant.

Fyang said she still cannot believe that she has joined the roster of the restaurant chain's endorsers, which includes Coco Martin and phenomenal screen partners Maris Racal and Anthony Jennings.

The food brand endorsement is among the many upcoming projects lined up for ABS-CBN’s latest teen star.

She is currently among the hosts of a segment of Sunday noontime variety show, “ASAP.”

Fyang is popular on social media. How does she handle her popularity?

“Oh, I handle them by saying thank you sa every event na pumupunta po sila. And grabe din ‘yung pag-appreciate ko sa kanila, and super na-appreciate ko rin sila. So, I'm very thankful na maraming nagmamahal sa akin,” said the young star.

She revealed that she has just shot a TV commercial for the food brand.

“Thank you all for supporting me and ‘wag kayong mag-alala. Hinding-hindi ko kaya pababayaan. Super, super na-appreciate ko kayong lahat and I’m very thankful. Thank you so much po,” Fyang ended.

The brand will hold a nationwide tour offering free Extra Creamy Halo-Halo at select locations, including famous tourist spots as part of its “Love the Flavors, Love the Philippines” movement in collaboration with the Department of Tourism. The brand is also offering a limited-time Extra Creamy Halo-Halo variant, a National Halo-Halo Blowout, and an interactive exhibit featuring the beloved dessert.
