The Film Development Council of the Philippines will hold the I Animate Animation Film Festival from April 24 to May 7.

The event is a celebration of animated films and the animators who create them. It will feature talkback sessions with various figures in the animation industry, as well as screenings of acclaimed local and international animated films.

The films will be screened in select SM Cinemas and Cinematheque Centres nationwide. The official list of cinemas has yet to be announced, so stay tuned!

Just some of the films that will be screened are Cinemalaya 2023 Best Film "Iti Mapukpukaw (The Missing)" by Carl Joseph Papa, "Cleaners" by Glenn Barit, "Saving Sally" by Avid Liongoren, "Memoir of a Snail" by Adam Elliot, Oscar 2025 Best Animated Feature Film "Flow" by Gints Zilbalodis, "Robot Dreams" by Pablo Berger, "Le Petit Nicolas" by Amandine Fredon and Benjamin Massoubre, "Weathering With You" by Makoto Shinkai, "Loving Vincent" by Dorota Kobiela and Hugh Welchman, and "Wolf Children" by Mamoru Hosoda.

The film fest will also screen various animated films under the Student Shorts Showcase, Animated Short Focus, and From the Archives categories.
