MANILA, Philippines — Actor Epy Quizon praised the Grab driver who returned his mobile phone after he left it behind the vehicle.

In his Instagram account, Epy introduced the driver, Jhun Diaz, whom he considers as an inspiring individual that  reminds people that caring for others is still very much alive.

“Meet Mr. Jhun Diaz, my Grab driver — and today’s reminder that good people are still everywhere,” Epy wrote.

According to Epy, he did not immediately notice that his cellphone was left inside the car after he got off.

Instead of continuing the trip, Jhun allegedly chose to stay where he dropped the actor off, hoping that he would also notice that his cellphone was missing since they had no way to contact each other.

Almost three hours later, Epy only noticed that his phone was missing.

Luckily, his daughter Misha and his partner Mapet were able to call him.

“He answered, and within minutes, Mr. Jhun came back and returned it,” Epy said.

But more than the returned cellphone, what truly impressed Epy was the driver's kindness and positive disposition despite the inconvenience caused by the incident.

“What I’ll remember most wasn’t just that he gave my phone back — it was the smile on his face. There was no annoyance, no irritation about the inconvenience. Just genuine happiness that he could help,” he said.

The actor also couldn't help but praise Jhun for his honesty and caring.

“Acts of honesty like this deserve to be celebrated. Thank you, Mr. Jhun Diaz, for your kindness, integrity, and compassion. People like you restore our faith in humanity," he said.
