MANILA, Philippines — Actress Judy Ann Santos is one proud mother to her son Lucho after he was named Player of the Match in a recent football game in Spain.

Sharing her pride in a heartfelt Instagram post, Judy Ann celebrated not only her son's individual recognition but also his team's impressive campaign, which saw them finish 16th out of more than 70 international teams.

"My dearest boy... mama's heart couldn't be more prouder of you," she wrote. "Watching how you pour your heart, energy and dedication into every game... YOU ARE AMAZING! You are amazing in many, many ways," she said.

Judy Ann said Lucho's latest achievement reflects the hard work and commitment he has consistently shown on and off the pitch. 

"Being named 'Player of the Match,' for your team to rank 16 out of 70+ international teams... you've come a long way, my love," she said.

The award-winning actress also shared how the tournament has become more than just a sporting competition for her son, saying the experience has opened new possibilities for his future while allowing him to reconnect with childhood friends and build new friendships.

"This experience has opened up a lot of options and opportunities for you to become what you really want to be in the future," she wrote.

"I love watching you play again with some of your childhood friends, and become friends with new ones. I love how focused you are in every game," she added.

Beyond Lucho's athletic accomplishments, Judy Ann said what makes her proudest is seeing the young man he continues to become.

"But you know what I love the most? It's the tight hugs and kisses you give me and Dada (husband Ryan Agoncillo) every after game. The way you still kiss your sisters on their forehead every time you see them makes me more prouder of the man you're becoming," she said.

She ended her message with words of unwavering support, assuring her son that she and Ryan will always be behind him as he pursues his dreams.

"My love... go and chase your dreams. We will support you no matter what. As long as you want me to cook rice, Adobo and Salpicao for you and do your laundry for every tournament such as this, I will do so with a very happy heart," she said.

"You will always be Mama's favorite son. I love you to the moon and back a thousand times and beyond," she added.
