"We acknowledge the recent allegations that have surfaced online. As proponents of justice, we unequivocally condemn all criminal acts and stand against abuse of any form. Above all, we seek the truth," Buendia said in a statement via his social media accounts on Sunday.

"As Marcus makes time to address the matter at hand, he will be stepping back from the upcoming project. We move forward with humility and deep respect for the truth and social responsibility," he added.

The announcement comes in the wake of a viral Reddit post from an anonymous user who accused Adoro of sexually assaulting her when she was still in high school. The post also pointed to previous public accusations, including those from actress Barbara Ruaro and Adoro's own daughter, Syd. It further criticized the media and entertainment industry for continuing to provide Adoro with a platform despite the serious nature of the allegations.

Adoro, however, has yet to publicly respond as of posting.
