CALAMBA CITY, Laguna — Authorities arrested eight drug pushers in separate buy-bust operations in Rodriguez town and Antipolo City on Saturday and in Malolos City on Sunday.
Operatives from the Rodriguez Municipal Police Station (RMPS) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) seized P1.169 million worth of illegal drugs and arrested three suspects in a buy-bust operation in Daang Tubo 2, Barangay Burgos, in Rodriguez town.

In a message Sunday, BGen. Jack Wanky, director of Police Regional Office (PRO) 4A (Calabarzon), said the law enforcers seized around 172 grams of suspected shabu, the marked buy-bust money worth P1,000,000 and additional P700 in cash during the operation.
The raiding team also found a weighing scale, coin purse, sling bag, driver’s license, and a caliber .22 pistol.
The Drug Enforcement Team (DET) of RMPS had been monitoring the suspects for some time. Upon confirming the illegal drug transaction, authorities moved in and apprehended the three.
The suspects were brought to the Rizal Provincial Forensic Unit for drug testing, while the confiscated evidence will undergo forensic examination.

“We will not rest in our fight against the drug menace. Each operation reflects our dedication and resolve to ensure the safety of our communities,” said Wanky.
“We call on the continued support and cooperation of the public so we can fully eliminate illegal drugs in our region,” he added.
Antipolo City
Four drug pushers were arrested as authorities dismantled a drug den at Sitio Manalite, Barangay Bagong Nayon, Antipolo City, Rizal on Saturday.
Joint personnel from the Philippine Drug Endorsement Agency Rizal Provincial Office and the Philippine National Police Regional Intelligence conducted the operation which resulted in the seizure of five grams of shabu worth P34,400. The raiders also recovered the buy-bust money and various drug paraphernalia.
Female drug suspect yields P3.4-M shabu in Bulacan
In Malolos City, joint operatives from the PDEA, the Provincial Intelligence Unit and the Malolos City Police apprehended a high-level female drug trader who yielded P3.4 million worth of shabu during an ant-illegal drug operation on Sunday in Barangay Tikay in this city.
LtCol. Russel Reburiano, chief of the Provincial Intelligence Unit-Bulacan, said the operation was conducted at around 12:20 a.m. on Sunday.
The 27-year-old suspect was found in possession of one small heat-sealed plastic sachet and one large vacuum-sealed plastic sachet containing suspected shabu.
The seized drugs weighed approximately 500.42 grams, with an estimated street value of P3,402,856. Authorities also recovered the marked buy-bust money.
The suspect and the confiscated evidence were brought to the Bulacan Provincial Forensic Unit (PFU) for appropriate examination. Charges for violation of RA 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being prepared.
