MANILA, Philippines — Duty Free Philippines Corp. (DFPC) has long been part of the Filipino travel tradition. It’s where balikbayan boxes begin, last-minute pasalubong requests are fulfilled, and premium chocolates, liquor and wines become symbols of reunion.

Now, that experience is even more accessible. On Feb. 19. DFPC opened its newest store at NAIA Terminal 3, between Bays 6 and 7, as part of its modernization strategy to make shopping more convenient and visible to passengers and their loved ones.

The Terminal 3 branch allows travelers – and those accompanying them – to drop by without the usual rush. For passengers who forgot pasalubong or received last-minute “pasabuy” messages, the store offers a convenient solution. “Duty Free Philippines has always been part of the Filipino homecoming story,” DFPC said. “With this new store, the joy of choosing pasalubong – even at the last minute – remains part of that shared airport experience.”

The branch carries a curated selection of liquor, wines, chocolates and cigarettes, including travel retail exclusives and other items not found in regular stores. By bringing these offerings closer to the public, DFPC strengthens its presence in one of the country’s busiest gateways while staying true to its identity as a trusted source of authentic imported goods.

NNIC deputy head for commercial Aileen Tan welcomed the opening, calling DFPC a key partner in the airport’s modernization. “We are proud that DFPC is part of NNIC’s journey,” Tan said, noting plans to pursue more collaborations.

The Terminal 3 opening signals a shift in how DFPC wants to be experienced – not just as a departure ritual, but as part of everyday airport moments.
