MANILA, Philippines — Motorists should brace for another round of fuel price hikes today, with diesel increasing by over P1 per liter for the second straight week.
In separate advisories, Shell and Seaoil announced increases of P0.40, P1.10 and P0.70 per liter for gasoline, diesel and kerosene prices, respectively.
Jetti, Petro Gazz, Cleanfuel and PTT Philippines would apply the same adjustments, except for kerosene, which they do not offer.
Caltex, meanwhile, is poised to hike gasoline, diesel and kerosene prices by P0.20, P0.75 and P0.50 per liter, respectively.
The price movements were attributed to OPEC’s unchanged global oil demand growth forecasts, according to the Department of Energy.
The cartel still expects a global oil demand growth of 1.29 million barrels per day and 1.28 million b/d for this year and next, respectively.
“The positive oil demand outlook in the second half of 2025, the prospect of easing trade tensions and the risk to supply in the Middle East following attacks in the oil fields in Iraq have further supported the market,” Jetti president Leo Bellas said.
